Like most games, The Last of Us Part 2 has a variety of difficulty levels that players can choose from when they start the game. Choosing which difficulty setting is right for you can be a hard decision, especially if you don’t know the difference between them. In this guide, we are going to take a look at all of The Last of Us Part 2 difficulty levels to help you decide which mode is best for you.
The Last of Us Part 2: What Difficulty Setting Should You Choose?
There are a total of six difficulty levels in The Last of Part 2, ranging from easy to hard. While we can’t tell you which difficulty setting is the best for you, we can give you a rundown on each level to help you make a more informed decision. Further, we should also mention that you can change the difficulty setting in The Last of Us Part 2 mid-game by opening up the in-game menu. So, if you decide the level you chose is too easy or hard, you can change it without having to restart. With that said, here are all of The Last of Us Part 2 difficulty levels.
- Very Light
- Light
- Moderate
- Hard
- Survivor
- Custom
As you can probably guess, playing on Very Light mode will offer the easiest gameplay experience, making enemies easier to beat and resources easier to find. On the other hand, Survivor mode is going to be the most challenging difficulty level in the game and will increase enemy damage, knowledge, limit resources, and more. If you’re looking for a balanced experience and want to play the game in the most “pure” way, then Moderate mode will probably be the best choice for you.
If you really want to get crazy, The Last of Us Part 2 allows players to create custom game settings by tweaking specific sliders. For example, if you want enemies to be tougher but supplies to be easier to find, you can make that happen. To create a custom difficulty once you’ve started a game, open up the Main Menu and select Options. Front here you’ll be able to adjust the settings for the player, enemies, allies, stealth, and resources.
