In February 2023, you couldn’t go anywhere in Roblox without seeing Pixel Piece. Billed as the next big thing, it was easy to see why. One of the most visually advanced titles on the market, a fun RPG without a tremendous need for grinding, and smooth gameplay helped rocket this one to the top of the charts. Then, suddenly, it all changed. Pixel Piece was pulled for bug fixes and a few other updates and hasn’t been seen since. Is it ever returning to the Roblox platform, or will we have to find something new to preoccupy ourselves with?
Update: 06/16/2023: According to @jandle-jandel on the Pixel Piece Discord Channel, it seems that Pixel Piece is launching again today:
GET FREAKIN HYPED! WE have put so much effort into fixing so many bugs, reworking systems. This release is not SUPER content heavy, there will be a new fruit and logue town – we are already working on our first content update for NEXT Friday, which will include new weapons, clue scrolls, new quests and hopefully a new fruit.
Right now if you join the game, you will be at a countdown screen, every 15MINS in this screen you will earn one race spin… if you have 1 friend in the server, you will earn 2 race spins… if you have 10 friends in the server you will earn 11 race spins every 15mins. https://www.roblox.com/games/6777872443/Pixel-Piece-COUNTDOWN
We don’t want to make any false promises about the game, we have added a little bit of content but the last month has mostly been us fixing bugs, reworking systems and preparing for our normal update schedule. In the past with games like Wacky Wizards and Steep Steps we updated WEEKLY! So prepare for a similar schedule to that!

When Is Pixel Piece Going Live On Roblox Again?
While there was still room to grow, Pixel Piece quickly became one of the most feature-rich and popular experiences on the Roblox platform. Jumping in, you’d always find a full server with players ready to help each other grind for a particular fruit, weapon, or item. The community was great, and the game was always hoping with something to do.
But, unfortunately, bugs started to hit and the game was quickly pulled. Joining the Pixel Piece Discord Server, I jumped in to do a bit of investigating, and found this message from one of the developers:
“Yo! Just wanted to give you a quick update on the game. It’s going great, and we’ve fixed most of the bugs. We’re just putting the finishing touches on the last few. We’re also adding some new stuff, which is taking us a little longer to finish. We apologize for the wait, but we promise it’ll be worth it! Thanks for your patience and support!”

Without much information since then, there have still been a few updates passed along to eager fans, primarily in the form of video showcases. These videos give players a look into what the development team has been working on, and players can hardly contain their excitement for Pixel Piece to return.
However, it is hard to say when Pixel Piece will finally return to the platform, but it shouldn’t be much longer. It seems that developers are hard at work in this experience, making sure that it’s in the best shape possible when it makes its triumphant return. While there is currently no release date for this experience to return, we’ll be updating this page with any new information we may see.
