Sure, you’ll get into a lot of trouble in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s final expansion, Blood and Wine, but you’ll also be able to gain access to a vineyard in Toussaint, treating it as your own. Here’s how you can dress it up with renovations and earn some nice buffs for Geralt in the process.

How To Get the Corvo Bianco Vineyard In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

As you take on the Beast of Toussaint story quest in the game, you’ll automatically receive the deed to the vineyard, following the conclusion of the arena incident. Have a word with Anna Henrietta and continue on your way, and you’ll eventually run into the Dutchess, who will provide you the deer to Corvo Bianco, a place where you can rest your weary head in the midst of your quest.

Once you get the deed in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a new quest called No Place Like Home will open up. This will require renovating the Corvo Bianco, piece by piece. You’ll begin this mission by going to the vineyard and chatting with the Majordomo, over by the stairs right above the cellar entrance. You’ll get a quick tour of everything you have access to, and some pointers on what changes you can make.

There are various places where you can store pieces of your collection in the vineyard, from trophies to books to weapons, mainly swords. You’ll also be able to store items that you aren’t using in a Stash chest located in the bedroom, in case you don’t want them on your person. It’s ideal if you want to put items aside that you’ll use to doll up the vineyard later on.

Getting the Most Out of Vineyard Upgrades In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Majordomo will help keep your vineyard up to speed as you complete missions, but he’ll also serve as the one helping to renovate once you decide to make changes to the vineyard. The goal here is to make sure you have the money to pay for said changes.

The Majordomo will make recommendations in terms of upgrades and other options. This can be done through dialogue selections, so just make a choice and they’ll hit the ground running. Just keep in mind that renovations aren’t instant – you’re look at about a day’s time for most of them to be put into place. You have the option of either waiting around for the upgrade, or meditating to help time pass. (The second option is a bit easier on you.)

You’ll need about 5,000 gold crowns to pay for the renovation in general, which includes a number of features, like stands for your weapon, armor and other items. There’s also an Armor Repair Table that can be set up, along with a Grindstone in the outer courtyard. They’ll run you 1,000 gold crowns apiece, and, as mentioned previously, take about a day’s time to put together.

It helps to continue buying these items, because more will eventually open up as your renovation takes shape. They can be costly, but you’ll earn special attributes as a result.

For instance, by buying the Armor Repair Table and Grindstone, you’ll have access to a temporary buff for either your armor and swords. You can also gain combat experience (XP) by adding a library; get a +1 charge for bombs and potions by putting together an alchemy lab; increase vitality boost from sleep by building a bed; gain a Stamina buff for Roach by putting together some stables; grow plants for crafting purposes from putting together a greenhouse or garden; and have visiting companions stay with you via a guest room.

Most of these perks run anywhere from 1,000 to 2,000 crowns, and can take up to 48 hours in some cases, like the stables, greenhouse, garden and guest room. However, they’re worth it in most cases, as the perks can really come in handy.

Just be prepared to drop some time and money to really bring Corvo Bianco together. The crowns will make the upgrades worth it, and the buffs will pay off in the long run. You can also add personal perks to make the vineyard stand out, like the many weapons and other items you collect from your journey. Go on, show off.

You can really bring the vineyard to fabulous life in the Blood and Wine expansion, so take some time and make it yours. Good luck!
