If you’re playing through Spider-Man on PlayStation 4 then you’ve probably gotten pretty used to swinging around the city with the web-slingers signature way of getting around. Here we’ll show you everything you need to know to unlock Fast Travel in Spider-Man.

How to Unlock Fast Travel

Fast Travel in Spider-Man won’t be available right at the start and for good reason. The opening hours of the game need to be spent exploring and getting used to the controls. Not only will knowing these controls make it easier for you in the long run but knowing how to control Spider-Man’s web-swinging will even help you out as you learn how to succeed in combat.

To unlock Fast Travel, all you’ll need to do is keep playing through the game’s main campaign. After a while you’ll complete a mission titled “Wheels within Wheels”. During this mission, Spider-Man has to help out a police officer. After you complete the mission, you’ll be rewarded with the ability to start Fast Traveling.

To unlock new points on the map for Fast Travel, you’ll need to keep playing. Some key locations—like the F.E.A.S.T headquarters and even Parker’s apartment are a few key areas you can fast travel to, just to name a few. Still, though, don’t rely too much on the Fast Travel system. Not only do you miss out on a lot of different things throughout the city—things like crime events, which can give you Crime Tokens, but you’ll also find yourself getting complacent in combat. Which can lead to a lot of frustration as you take on more difficult enemies.
