How To Upgrade Weapons in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

No, you can't add fire to Kiryu's fists.

Getting powerful weapons is one of the best things you can do in any game, but they’re even more important in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Let’s see what you can do to start upgrading your gear to become the greatest Hero of all time.

How To Upgrade Weapons & Stats in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

If you’re hoping to upgrade your weapons, you’ll need to make a quick pitstop at Julie’s Gearworks. This is unlocked in Chapter 3 of the story, and you’ll get the opportunity to start upgrading your weapons using different fragments, and metal pieces found outside to start crafting some of the wildest gear known to mankind.

Once Julie’s Gearworks is unlocked, you’ll need to visit the locations on your map to upgrade your equipment. You can find these spots by searching for the icon shown on the map above. No matter where you are in the story, you can find and access Julie’s Gearworks, as she’s conveniently started making her business known worldwide. Just enter the building and speak to Julie to start upgrading your equipment.

It would be extremely cumbersome if you needed to run back every time you wanted to check and see what items you may need to start upgrading your gear, so you’ll be glad to know that you can see an overview of your current weapons on your smartphone.

Simply pause the game, head to the Smartphone option, and then select Weapon Crafting. Here, you can view all of the weapons currently available to create, alongside the items that you’ll need to make it happen. It’s a nice tool to have but you won’t be able to make any of the weapons from here, you’ll need to head back to your closest Julie’s Toolworks to make the items that you want on your adventure.

While at Julie’s, you can also upgrade the basic stats of your weapon by using different Metals that you pick up on your adventure. This way, even if you can’t make the electrified baseball bat of your dreams right now, you can at least make those swings hurt a bit more. Simply select the Metal that you’d like to use and how many, and watch your stats start to skyrocket.

Now that you know how to make and upgrade weapons, be sure to keep your eyes on our Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth section below to find out more about the game and see if you can add a physical edition to your collection.
