It’s that time again, everyone! Disney Dreamlight Valley has added another exciting update, and this time, it brings Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph. She’s here to teach you how to use DreamSnaps, participate in weekly competitions, and earn free Moonstones! However, before you can unlock this, you’ll need to introduce her to the village. How to Get Vanellope von Schweetz in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are two quests you must complete before you can invite Vanellope to join Dreamlight Valley:
- The Haunting of Dreamlight Valley
- Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust
The first mission begins after you launch the game following the DreamSnaps Update. Once you speak to Scrooge McDuck, he’ll tell you about a ghost in Dream Castle, leading you to your first encounter with Vanellope. After discussing the situation with her, the first quest will conclude, and the second quest will begin!

During the second mission, you’ll find a DreamSnaps tutorial that introduces you to the weekly competition and how to participate. You’ll have to place various furniture items down that match the week’s theme and submit an entry into the competition. You can check the week’s mandatory themes by entering the Event menu and selecting DreamSnaps > Current Challenge.
Once you’ve placed the required furniture and submitted your entry, return to Vanellope. You’ll gain another task to build her house and pay Scrooge McDuck’s 4000 Star Coin construction fee. By doing this, Vanellope will join Dreamlight Valley officially!
