The Glacial Fissure is one of the five new lairs that you can track down to fight end-game bosses in Diablo 4, and inside is the Beast in Ice. Before you attempt to fight the beast though, you need to unlock the path, and I’m here to help you get through.
How to Enter the Glacial Fissure in Diablo 4
To unlock the Glacial Fissure, you need to craft a Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil and then consume the item before you enter the lair. You have the option to walk into the lair without any sigil, but the main gate will be completely locked. So make sure to visit an Occultist vendor before you attempt to clear the path.
The Occultist Vendor in Diablo 4 is the one who can craft the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil. Head over to the Ancestral tab and look at the top of the list for the level 31 option. To craft the item, you need nine Distilled Fear and 250 Sigil Powder. Each one has five different afflictions and they all lead to the Beast in Ice.
Once you use the Glacial Fissure Nightmare Sigil, you can head into the lair and clear out the enemies as usual. Only this time the gate at the other end will be unlocked. You can walk right through and head into the arena. You won’t need to worry about any additional items like the other bosses have after you get inside.
Where to Find the Glacial Fissure in Diablo 4
You can find the Glacial Fissure lair in the Desolate Highlands of the Fractured Peaks. The lair itself is marked by a gate with a horned skull. If you haven’t been to the area and defeated the Beast in Ice yet, you can look for an orange dot as well. Each one of the end-game bosses has the same lair logo so it’s hard to miss.
