How to Take Photos Inside Domains in Genshin Impact

While we got a few camera (or Kamera, to be more precise) items in Genshin Impact, it was still impossible to take while inside your regular farming domains. But the game has made the impossible possible, and all that it takes is having a combination of specific items and characters.

How to Take Pictures in Domains in Genshin Impact

In order to take pictures inside any Domain, you must have the “Special Analysis Zoom Lens” active in your inventory and have Charlotte on your team. By meeting those two criteria, Charlotte will enter Photo Mode whenever you hold her Elemental Skill instead of using its enhanced version.

The Special Analysis Zoom Lens is placed in the Gadget tab in your inventory and you don’t need to add it to your Quickswap Menu for it to work. Charlotte’s press Skill will work as normal, although you can’t use the hold Skill while the Lens is active. If you actively use Charlotte as a party member, be mindful of that whenever tackling some content in which you feel like you’ll need her hold Skill.

You can use Charlotte to photograph any area, differently from the Kamera items which are forbidden inside domains. If you’re looking for an ever better flex than clearing Abyss 12 only using 4-stars, try snapping some pics while you’re at it too! The Spiral Abyss can also be photographed now as long as you bring Charlotte to the team and activate said item.

Charlotte can also move around while taking her pic, something that wasn’t possible with previous Photo Modes.

Where to Get Special Analysis Zoom Lens

The Lens is obtained from the World Quest The Long-Failed “Graph Adversarial Technology”. While this is a follow-up to the Graph Adversarial Technology Log event, this quest itself is permanent and you can do it regardless of completing the event or not. You can trigger it by speaking with Lepine-Pauline in the Court of Fontaine a bit past Katheryne.

The dialogue will be different if you’ve done it, however. But don’t worry as the changes are mostly references to your previous job with Lepine-Pauline. The overall resolution and rewards are just the same, so you’re not missing out on anything. You can grab it as soon as you’ve reached Fontaine, something you should probably do if you haven’t caught up with the most recent updates just yet.
