As you get into combat scenarios in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll want to have access to all the tools at your disposal to increase your chance of success. Fights can be a challenging experience at many points, so the fact you have several weapons can help you handle any scenario. How you swap to them or change them can be confusing, though. Here’s how to switch weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 on all platforms.

How you swap between weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 will depend heavily on the platform you’re playing on since you could be running a controller or on mouse and keyboard. I’ve split the sections up below, so just select whichever platform you’re playing the game on.

Swapping Weapons on PC

Thanks to the addition of a lot more buttons on a mouse and keyboard, there are a number of different ways to swap your weapons. You can:

  • Pressing 1, 2, or 3 to swap between each weapon.
  • Pressing Alt to quickly swap between each weapon.
  • Holding down Alt to manually choose between each of your three weapons.
  • Using the scroll wheel to cycle between weapons.

I personally use a mix of pressing the numbers along with using the scroll wheel, but which you choose depends on your preference.

No matter which control scheme you’re running, pressing the Y button will quickly swap between weapons. You can also hold Y to choose which weapon you want manually instead of needing to cycle.

Swapping Weapons on PlayStation

The same sort of idea applies when playing on a PlayStation. No matter your control scheme, tap Triangle on a controller to switch between your weapons. You can also hold Triangle down to select whichever weapon you want manually.
