Before you can study opponents in The Sims 4, you’ll need a computer! In the build menu, you can either use the search bar to look for computers or head to Objects by Room > Study > Computers. Depending on your household funds and personal preference, you can choose any PC here as long as it isn’t Toddlers-only. In other words, it doesn’t matter if you buy the $800 Deskblock or a $10,000 Ghostwriter unless you feel like showing off your wealth.

After buying a computer to use, select any Sim in your household that is a professional athlete. Regular sims will not have the Study Opponents option. With your professional athlete, click the computer, go to Web and pick Study Opponents. Your Sim will head to the PC and start studying.

Since it is not an instant action, you’ll need to spend a few in-game hours completing this. Be sure not to start it at the last minute unless you have to, or you might not have enough time to reach 100%. A safe bet is to start around 3-4 hours before work so that you have enough time to eat, shower, or take a nap before heading out.

The Sims 4 is available to play on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 through the official website. If you’d like to learn more about the game, check out When does The Sims 4 Go Free-to-Play and All Sims 4 High School Years Items Listed.
