How to Set a Pawn Quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2

It's a quest to be the very best.

Pawn Quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 allow the player to provide their main Pawn with a specific task for another player beyond the Rift. You’ll likely first encounter them when hiring additional Pawns, but setting your own isn’t very straightforward; here’s how to set a Pawn Quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Where To Set Pawn Quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2

You’ll first encounter Pawn Quests when you recruit an additional Pawn from beyond the Rift. When you interact with them, you will see if they have a listed Pawn Quest. If you interact with the Rift Stone, there is a Pawn Quest option, but it will be the default travel-related Pawn Quest, where another Arisen will have to have your Main Pawn hired for a day or night. This quest has to be completed first, but it is simple.

You will not know if this has been completed until you sleep in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It can be at an inn or in your own house. This process is when the game has your Main Pawn returned to you from the Rift with any items, Rift Crystals, and completed. This is also when your Main Pawn is synced with the server, so your Main Pawn will not be updated for other players until you sleep.

Once your Main Pawn returns with the default quest completed, the game will automatically ask you if you wish to set another quest. Do so, and choose a quest out of your currently available, as well as a reward for doing so. You can choose gold or items, but the better the reward, the more likely someone is to hire your Main Pawn and complete the Pawn Quest. You will now also be able to set Pawn Quests from inside of the Rift yourself. So, if you ever want to swap it without sleeping the day away, you easily can.

A potential secondary use for Pawn Quests is to use them as a way to trade items with other players. Setting an easy Pawn Quest, and having a specific player hire, and complete the quest for the agreed upon reward.

Pawn Quests are just another way to make your Pawn more desirable to other players due to the benefits of Pawn Medals earned from the successful completion of Pawn Quests. With a variety of quests on offer, there will always be a Pawn in the Rift worth taking on your journey.
