How to Play As the Goat in Cult of the Lamb

GOATED

The Unholy Alliance update for Cult of the Lamb is now available, and it finally adds cooperative play to the rogue-lite management title. In addition to co-op, this free update adds new Traits, Quests, Buildings, Relics, and Tarots, as well as a new playable character called the Goat. Unlocking them can be a bit tricky, and here is how you can unlock and play as the Goat in Cult of the Lamb.

How to Unlock and Play As the Goat in Cult of the Lamb

To play as the Goat, you need to obtain the Goat Fleece after unlocking corrupted relics and tarots.

Here are the detailed steps required to unlock the Goat playable character in Cult of the Lamb:

  • First, you need to beat at least 3 bishops to unlock the Sin currency
  • After this, you need to initiate co-op play at least once
  • Once you have done that, head into a dungeon and die
  • Upon dying, you will be taken to a room where you will interact with a cursed totem. Exhaust all the dialogue.
  • This will unlock the corrupted relics and tarots, which you can now use as well.
  • Now, head back to your cult area and enter the Temple
  • Interact with the book and open the Crown menu
  • Scroll to the bottom, and you’ll see The Goat fleece, which costs 5 Sin to unlock.

After you unlock The Goat fleece, you can equip it to turn into the Goat character in Cult of the Lamb.

Currently, you absolutely have to initiate co-op at least once for The Goat fleece to show up in the Crown menu. This can be a bit difficult for users who are playing it on the Nintendo Switch lite, and we hope that the developers are aware of the limitation.

The Goat can’t be a starting character, and you need to make some progress. Thankfully, you can always play the Goat as the second co-op character if you’re just starting out.
