How to Make a Salty Sandwich in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Don't be like your sandwich

Extra portions of salt are not always a bad idea in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet as it can make sandwiches like no others. Here’s how you can make your own special Salty Sandwiches in the Indigo Disk.

How to Make a Salty Sandwich in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk

Certain BBQs in The Indigo Disk DLC ask you to prepare a Salty Sandwich, specifically. They reward some good BP which you’ll use for a lot of things in the game, but getting the specific taste you need for the sandwich might seem confusing at first.

But all you need to do is to add as many Salty ingredients as possible to get the desired taste. Some sandwich recipes are Salty by nature, but it’s usually more efficient to do your own thing than following them.

Sure, you can just add a Salty Herba Mystica to the mix, but keep those rare ingredients for when you actually need them, and don’t waste them in some puny quests. Regular ingredients are cheap and easy to get, while you need to go out of your way (and sometimes get lucky) to get your hands on Herbas.

All Salty Ingredients in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Adding three or more of these ingredients will guarantee you the Salty taste you’re looking for. The BBQ should be complete as soon as you finish it.

  • Cheese
  • Egg
  • Ham
  • Hamburger
  • Noodles
  • Prosciutto
  • Potato Tortilla
  • Salt (who would’ve guessed?!)

Certain ingredients are considered as having multiple flavors at the same time. The following are all considered Salty but also something else. As long as you have a lot of Salty-only ingredients, you can add some of these:

  • Bacon (Salty/Bitter)
  • Butter (Salty/Sweet)
  • Cream Cheese (Salty/Sour/Sweet)
  • Chorizo (Salty/Hot)
  • Herbed Sausage (Bitter/Salty)
  • Ketchup (Salty/Sour)
  • Klawf Stick (Sweet/Salty)

Save those Salty Herba Mysticas for catching Shinies as they widely increase your Meal Power, which isn’t something you’re aiming for with a BBQ. If you see your character smiling with a blue background, that means your goal is complete!

Get that quest done and get ready for the next one as you’re probably not done yet with your BP farming. Yeah, there’s a lot of BP-eating requests to be done.
