Black Dragons: Where to Find Them and How to Kill Them in RuneScape

Before fighting a Black Dragon, you will want to locate one of these monsters first. Here is a list of every location where a Black Dragon is located in RuneScape:

  • Taverley Dungeon (Upper Level)
  • Taverley Dungeon
  • Wilderness Slayer Cave
  • Lava Maze Dungeon
  • Corsair Cove Dungeon
  • Evil Chicken’s Lair
  • Mynydd

The combat level of the Black Dragon is 227, making it an extremely powerful foe. When attempting to fight one of these creatures, be sure to have any type of Dragonfire protection equipped.

The Black Dragon’s main move is a dragonfire melee move, making Ranged attacks vital for defeating them. Utilizing bolts and bane ammunition is vital. Chargebows are crucial to have on hand when attempting to fight a Black Dragon.

What are Black Dragons?

Black Dragons have been around in Old School RuneScape since 2002, making them one of the first creatures to be as powerful as they are. The creature’s attribute is Draconic and Fiery, a combination not easily dealt with.

Black Dragons are known to be incredibly aggressive. They are not a monster you can just simply pass by when playing the game. A max hit from these creatures can do upwards of 50 damage, so be prepared when fighting them.

One upside of facing these creatures, is they are not immune to anything, making poisons something you could use when battling them.
