How to Keep Your Hydration Up in Dune Awakening
Water or spice?

In the world of Dune Awakening or Arrakis, fluids or hydration become the most essential resource, apart from the spice.
You’ll always want to keep your hydration up, to survive, and it becomes such a nuisance to keep it up with all the mechanics revolved around it. Here are all the ways you can increase your hydration so you never end up dead in the middle of nowhere in Dune Awakening.
All the Ways to Increase Your Hydration in Dune Awakening
Gathering Fluids from Plants with Your Knife

When you go through Dune Awakening’s tutorial missions, they’ll eventually teach you how to gain hydration by using your dagger and harvesting the fluids from plants. You must have your knife or dagger equipped to hydrate from the plants.
So, don’t stash your melee weapons even if you find stronger ranged weapons. When you use this method of getting hydration through plants, your hydration can only go up to the first bar of the hydration meter. You must make do with the little fluids you have until you have other sources of water or hydration.
Water from the Blood Purifier

When you unlock the Blood Purifier, you’ll learn how to extract blood using the Improvised Blood Extractor and the Blood Sacks.
Find some scavengers, fill up your pack with blood using the Blood Extractor, and deposit them in the Blood Purifier. Wait until the blood turns into water, and then you can drink from it straight from the Blood Purifier. It bypasses the first tier of hydration, so you can really fill up your hydration from the Blood Purifier, preferably before you go on an expedition somewhere far.
When you progress a little farther, you’ll also eventually get the Hajra Literjon, a unique water container that can store water on the go. It requires Copper Ingots, Micro-sandwich Fabrics, and Spice-infused Copper Dust, so it is quite far from the tutorial missions already.
Hydrate from the Water Stored in Your Scavenger Stillsuit Body

When you start getting better equipment, you’ll come across a Stillsuit body armor designed by the Fremen. It is made specifically to automatically store fluids using copper-fitted tubings with catchpockets.
When you have the Scavenger Stillsuit Body equipped, it’ll naturally gain Water. It is not much, but it still helps. You must double-tap “F” to drink from the Stillsuit’s stored water. It is also worth mentioning that the armor gives you some decent heat protection.
Heat plays a big factor in depleting your hydration. You’ll notice a bar on top of your character when you are under the sun. When it fills up and turns red, it’ll burn through your hydration meter, so you should watch out for this.
