How to Heal in Morbid Metal
Not every run can be perfect.
In most games, you learn how to heal in the simplest ways. In a roguelike game like Morbid Metal, heals are extremely scarce, but at least there are still several ways to do it.
Here’s a quick guide on all the ways you can heal in your iteration runs in Morbid Metal.
How to Heal Your Character in Morbid Metal

When going through an iteration run, your HP never recovers unless you manage to do the following:
- Routine-based heal mechanic (even shields)
- Vitality Fabricator
- Healing nodes
- Emporium healing
The most basic way of healing is (surprisingly) just reaching the Emporium shop, which shows up in the middle of a run through a Void Rift, and buying a slight heal in the shop. Healing nodes are quite random, and you have to look for them on the sides at times deliberately. They aren’t that common, but every little bit of healing is a massive help in a run.
On the other hand, healing with the Vitality Fabricators is even rarer, but you can buy the Run Fabricator Unlock in the Void Nexus that lets it show up more frequently. When you upgrade it enough, it’ll eventually be the main way you heal through your iteration runs.
The best thing about the Vitality Fabricators is that you can get multiple heals as long as you have credits to spare, which is also why it is a good idea to leave some credits available when you are damaged.
Some small things can get you more HP or healing, such as the Corpora Herbal Tea, which restores a portion of your max life when entering the Shop. Increasing your maximum life also helps.
Apart from these ways of healing, you can also minimize damage taken per fight with a few mechanics. For example, there’s a Routine that gives you a barrier or shield at the start of each combat, giving you a cushion for a couple of mistakes. There are more Routines, such as giving you shields when using a special skill, but you don’t want to go full-on defensive as well.
Getting some Routines that help you survive also means that you are weakening your potential damage output. You want to have a good mix and get a feel for your run if you are getting some nice synergistic combos and Routines.
