The Griddy is one of the nastiest celebrations to hit not only EA FC 24, but society in general. While it’s based on a real-life celebration, the virtual adaptation can really get on the nerves of any opponent. However, it’s one of the more complex celebrations to perform, as it requires multiple key combinations at a given time. Here’s how to hit the Griddy in EA FC 24.
How to Perform a Griddy in EA FC 24
Certain celebrations can only be performed with specific footballers in EA FC 24. The recently added signature celebration of Jude Bellingham is the perfect example, which can only be performed with the English wonderkid. However, the Griddy can be executed with any footballer in the game as long as the controls are correct.
- Hold the RT/R2 button on your Xbox/PlayStation controller.
- Flick the RS (Right Stick) up from the neutral position twice.
- Make sure that the two flicks are done in quick succession.
That’s all you need to perform to execute the Griddy in EA FC 24. As mentioned earlier, it can be done with any footballer and any card in Ultimate Team. Additionally, it’s not a signature celebration from any footballer as such, but AC Milan’s Rafael Leao has it as his default celebration. If you’re playing as the Portuguese winger and score a goal, you can do a Griddy by just pressing the X/A button after scoring a goal.
Since its introduction to the FC series, the Griddy has had a reputation for triggering opponents. It has led to plenty of rage quits as well across different game modes, and suffice it to say, the celebration has an equal number of fans and haters. But before pulling out this move, do note that your opponent might not take it kindly, especially if they manage to overturn the lead.
Plenty of great alternate options are also available if you want to celebrate your success. This also includes signature celebrations of superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe, which can be performed with any player (as long as you press the right buttons).
