Nothing defines the Warzone experience more than getting your custom loadout in a match and the feature returns with the MW3 iteration of the mode. To make sure you get yours, I’ll cover all the options for picking up custom weapons in this guide.
COD Warzone Season 1: How to Get Your Loadout Drop
To get your loadout in Warzone, you can spend 10,000 on a Loadout Drop Marker, loot a random drop on the Urzikstan map, complete a Stronghold, or spend $2,500 for an individual primary weapon. For most of your custom weapon needs, you can head to any Buy Station on the map. They are always marked by green shopping carts and are typically easy to find.
When you reach a Buy Station, you can find the Loadout Drop Marker in the first tab for $10,000. As soon as you buy it, you can equip the marker like a Field Upgrade. Upon activation, you can throw the marker like a smoke grenade and the drop will land. But beware of other teams that are looking to poach that loadout access.
How to Get Custom Loadouts in Warzone:
- Purchase a Loadout Drop Marker for $10,000 at a Buy Station.
- Complete a Stronghold.
- Buy individual Primary weapons for $2,500.
- Search random Loadout Drops in Urzikstan.
If you are low on cash or don’t want to deal with the marker, you can still purchase any of your primary weapons from the custom loadouts section. This won’t help you with your chosen equipment or your Perk Package, but at least you can get some weapons with decent attachments in Warzone. Otherwise, you might be stuck with ground loot.
Your last option is to wait for a random Loadout Drop to land in Urzikstan. Random drops are constantly floating around the map and you can see them marked by blue squares. These drops are free of charge for everyone. So as you can imagine, it’s also an easy way to get ambushed. Be careful if you go for one of these.
Before you go for your loadout, ensure that you have the best optic for your weapons in Warzone.
