Drones are a survivor’s best friends in Risk of Rain Returns, offering combat and healing support when it’s needed the most. One offensive drone outclasses them all, however. Here’s how to get the Beam Drone in Risk of Rain Returns.
Where to Find the Beam Drone in Risk of Rain Returns
The Beam Drone is found on the final stage, UES Contact Light, around the Bridge area. The Bridge is normally located on the far-right edge of the stage and is the room where you’ll face the final boss.
Like other drones, you’ll need to spend cash to repair the Beam Drone, which will normally cost you a few thousand. As you can see in the image below, the Beam Drone in my run costs $3250, however, it may be more or less depending on your current difficulty.
It’s hard to miss the large pile of rubble that is the unrepaired Beam Drone, as it’s much larger than any other broken drone you’ve seen thus far. If you intend on fully exploring the final stage, I’d highly recommend repairing the Beam Drone.
Once repaired, the Beam Drone will hover above your character, charging its massive laser and readying it for the next enemy to approach.
The Beam Drone will automatically aim and fire a wide, piercing laser beam that decimates everything caught in its path. It’s a fantastic drone to have by your side while you grind out and explore the final level, and is especially helpful at taking down the final boss, Providence.
