You can start earning Sovereigns by reaching Kingpin Infamy and earning new tiers in the Skull and Bones leaderboards. Each tier that you climb on the leaderboards will reward you with some coins that you can start hoarding for end-game cosmetics and your empire. At the moment, weekly leaderboards are the best way to earn more tiers, but Seasonal leaderboards will become available further down the line.

Skull and Bones – How to Earn Sovereigns

  • Reach Kingpin Infamy
  • Complete “A Nose for Business” for the Helm.
  • Climb the tiers on the leaderboard.

Before you can reach Sovereigns in Skull and Bones, there are some prerequisites to hit. Unlocking the Kingpin level is the first step. Reaching the Kingpin level is simply tied to XP, searching for buried treasure in places like the Sunken Goldmine, and completing contracts on the high seas. Once you reach Kingpin, the label stays the same, but there are hundreds of additional levels to earn along the way. This is essentially the gameplay loop that leads to more tiers on the leaderboard.

Another requirement is tied to the Helm. Even if you hit the Kingpin level already, the Helm needs to be accessed for you to start reaching new tiers on the leaderboard. Head to the Le Pont Muet tavern on the eastern side of Sainte-Anne. Speak to the Bartender there, and she will get you started on all the Helm quests headed your way. Once you complete “A Nose for Business” it’s time to start grinding the end game section and earning some Sovereigns.

After reaching the late game, it’s time to start getting prepared for the PvP element of the seas.
