The Soulrender is a new melee weapon added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with the Season 2 Reloaded update, and offers a heavy attack by holding down the Fire button alongside the normal quick melee slashes. Here is how to get the Soulrender in MW3.
How to Unlock Soulrender in MW3
The Soulrender melee weapon can be unlocked in Modern Warfare 3 by completing five specific challenges during Season 2. The weapon is located within the Season 2 Battle Pass under Sector B21 and will require players to complete the sector and its rewards before receiving the Soulrender. The challenges and associated rewards include:
- Get five Operator or Special Zombie Kills with Throwing Knives – JAK Burnout Kit
- Get 10 Operator or Special Zombie Kills with Melee Kills – Bone Dome Emblem
- Get 15 Operator or Special Zombie Kills with a Frag Grenade or Semtex – One Hour Double XP Token
- Get five Operator or Special Zombie Kills with the butt of a gun – Grave Robber Camo
- Get 10 Operator or Special Zombie Kills with crouched Melee kills – Soulrender
The challenges and all of the rewards will be available for the duration of Season 2 until April 2, unless the developers announce an extension beforehand. Players do not need to purchase the Season 2 Battle Pass to access the sector and its rewards.
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players can also unlock the weapon by purchasing the Dune Part Two Harkonnen Pack for 2,400 COD Points. The movie tie-in bundle comes with the Harkonnen Long Sword Blueprint, which will instantly unlock access to the Soulrender.
The Harkonnen Long Sword Blueprint is purely cosmetic and does not offer any attachments or additional gameplay benefits than using the regular Soulrender. The pack also includes a Riptide Operator skin, two other weapon blueprints, and other cosmetic items.
