How to Collect Ship Parts in No Man’s Sky

There are different ways of collecting various resources throughout your interstellar journeys. When it comes to getting Ship Parts in No Man’s Sky, there’s no alternative but to scrap an existing ship. Once you scrap a ship at the terminal, you’ll be able to keep one part.

When it comes to scrapping the ships, you can always salvage the ones you have in your collection. As you explore different planets, you will also come across ships that require repairs. You can also salvage them for additional parts, and sometimes, repairing and scrapping them will cost you a lot less.

How to Scrap Ships in No Man’s Sky

Scrapping ships is quite simple and can be done at the station. Do note that you have to activate the ship before scrapping it. It’s always harder to do that with broken ships that you’ll find across different planets. Usually, those ships are unable to fly when you find them.

After you claim such a ship, the first job is to get it space-ready. The Launch Engine and Pulse Thrusters will have to be put into order if you want it to reach the station. This becomes a lot easier when you eventually get a freighter (however, this option won’t be available at first to beginners).

Once the ship can fly, just go to the station, and the remaining steps are pretty self-explanatory. Aside from ship parts, you could also get other resources by scrapping the ships.
