How to Get Rushrooms in Tears of the Kingdom

How to Get Rushrooms in Tears of the Kingdom

Little purple mushrooms.

In many video games, including Tears of the Kingdom, cooking is a crucial skill that benefits you in many ways. I’ll be honest; it’s one of my favorite activities in most games, and I’m not even entirely sure why. TOTK’s cooking system is no exception, as it allows you to mix all kinds of ingredients to make dishes that restore hearts and give you status buffs. Rushrooms are among the first items you’ll find, with many more to follow as you explore the rest of Hyrule. If you want to learn more, continue reading to discover how to get Rushrooms in The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Rushroom Locations in The Legends of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

You’ll find Rushrooms first on Great Sky Island, along the pillar supporting Ukouh Shrine. The exact coordinates to Ukouh Shrine are (0274, -0914, 1460), and you’ll spot multiple purple mushrooms along the stone walls here.

Rushrooms typically spawn along cliffs and ceilings. Along the first shrine’s cliffside, you’ll find several of these purple mushrooms on the walls, which you can either shoot at with your bow or climb to and pick with your hands.

Generally speaking, you’ll want to look along mountain surfaces and steep cliffsides while keeping an eye out for light purple mushrooms. These differ from Skyshrooms, which have a blue and yellow appearance and appear near trees!

You can also occasionally find some throughout Hyrule’s surface, but the ones at the Ukouh Shrine location will provide a solid start until you spot more outside Great Sky Island.

How to Cook Rushrooms in Tears of the Kingdom

Once you get your hands on some of these mushrooms, you can cook the Rushroom alongside other ingredients to make dishes that increase your movement speed. One example is combining Rushrooms with Skyshrooms, resulting in some Hasty Mushroom Skewers! You can also combine Rushrooms with apples to make a Hasty Fruit and Mushroom Mix!

To do this, go to any fire with a cooking pot on top, hold your ingredients and toss them in to make your dish! If you’re unfamiliar with TOTK’s cooking system, check out how to cook with multiple ingredients in Tears of the Kingdom.
