Where to Get Red Crystal Dust in Lightyear Frontier

To get Red Crystal Dust, you’ll first need to acquire Red Crystals. These spawn naturally within the Pine Heights region of the game, once you restore it by clearing out any Noxious Slime in the region. Once that’s done, head to the northern end of Pine Heights to find some natural Red Crystal deposits and mine them with your Spike Saw. This will give Red Crystals and unlock the recipe for the Grinder, which you need to build.

To build the Grinder, you’ll need to acquire 12 Rocks, four Copper Wire, and four Aluminum Rods. The Aluminum and Stone are easily found in their natural deposits. As for the Copper Wire, you’ll need to get Copper Ore and build Copper Wire within your Assembler, which you should have built by this point. With all those materials ready, simply begin building the Grinder and put all the materials in. It can be found in the Crafting tab of the Build menu.

Once you’ve built the Grinder, simply head over to it and select the Red Crystal Dust recipe, which gives two Red Crystal Dust for every Red Crystal you grind.

What is Red Crystal Dust Used For?

Red Crystal Dust has a hand in four separate recipes. These are the first Irrigation Hose power upgrade, the Weather Station, the Color Mixer, and Red Glass. The last of the bunch is the most important followed by the Irrigation Hose power increase. The other two are simply there if you want them.
