One of the challenges in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 holiday event is to get 40 Operator kills with melee while having the Stalker Boots equipped. This may seem like a daunting task, but here are some tips and a special class to help get it done easier.
How to Set Up Melee Kills With Stalker Boots in MW3
All players need to do to get melee kills with the Stalker Boots is to play any MW3 competitive multiplayer mode with a class that has both a melee weapon and the Stalker Boots equipped. Then run around the map and use the melee button with the weapon equipped while close to an enemy.
Players will have to be level 54 to unlock the Stalker Boots, and equip either the Gutter Knife or Karambit in the same created class. Modern Warfare 2 players will have more melee weapon options, as any unlocked weapons will carry over to the sequel. The regular gun-butt melee kills also work with the challenge but is a two-hit kill over the one-hit kill from a dedicated melee weapon.
The created class should also have the Assassin Vest, which makes players immune to UAV and radar effects, and Riot Shield as the primary weapon to block any bullets coming behind you. Battle Rage is good to quickly tank some damage, and the Tac Mask will reduce or ignore most tactical equipment that can slow you down.
Players should also choose the Shipmas 24/7 multiplayer playlist to do the challenge in because it is a small map and is easy to get kills. Shipmas is the winter-themed version of the classic Shipment map, and the playlist will most likely be rotated out once the holiday season is over.
