How to Get Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite

Get to the root of the problem

The first set of upgrades in LEGO Fortnite will require you to find plenty of Knotroot, but if you don’t know where to look, it can seem impossible to collect. In this guide, I’ll cover exactly where you can find the resource in your world so you can get the upgrades going.

Where to Find Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite

You can get Knotroot by exploring caves in biomes like the grasslands and chopping the roots down with an uncommon Forest Axe. Caves will spawn in multiple biomes around the world in LEGO Fortnite, and any time you get close to one of the entrances, there will be a cave symbol marked on your map.

The symbols are permanently marked on your map so you can always go back. Considering you have to enter through a new phase, I would wait until you have some extra food and a sword before you explore the caves. If you already have all your supplies, then jump right in and start looking for twisted roots on the cave walls.

Before searching for any Knotroot, you need to make sure that you have an uncommon Forest Axe or higher. Otherwise, your axe will bounce right off the roots and a zero will pop up. This applies to the marble that is present in caves as well. Most of you looking for Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite already have an upgraded Crafting Bench. But if you don’t, that needs to be knocked out first.

In most caves, you can collect around 15-20 Knotroot at a time if you explore all the walls. Being thorough will save you plenty of resources and time in the long run. Then you can take the roots back to your village and get started on all your upgrades.

Don’t forget to bring a sword for protection before you start delving into the dark.
