Gold Quartz is a rare material you can get in Persona 3 Reload, and while you’re handed some of them as rewards, they’ll probably not be enough if you’re a completionist. But there are many ways to get some extra pieces of this precious stone.
Where to Find Gold Quartz in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)
Gold Quartz can be obtained by defeating the Divine Mother or the Tenjin Musha in the Adamah block in Tartarus. These two are Powerful Shadows, so you won’t be encountering them so often. But once you do, they both will offer you a chance of getting a Gold Quartz at the end of the battle. You can get two of them if you have obtained the Devil Major Arcana card today.
Both of them have no weaknesses and will sometimes resist various elements, so they’re tough enemies to deal with. My suggestion is to go with Physical-based characters like Aigis and Junpei to try to bring them down with Critical hits. Having Revolution buffs and using Physical skills yourself is a great help.
You can use the Fortune Teller and get a Gamble Fortune to increase the spawning of Powerful Shadows, but having them actually drop the items is still a gamble.
Where to Buy Gold Quartz in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)
Alternatively, you can also get Gold Quartz in the Maiyoido Antiques shop. The shopkeeper will trade them for Diamonds, which can also be obtained inside Tartarus from various enemies. This is the most reliable method to get them, as Diamonds themselves can also be purchased in Club Escapade, which is right next to the antique shop.
Each Diamond costs 50.000 Yen, so each Gold Quartz will cost you 200.000 Yen in total. You’ll need tons of these if you want to craft all Ultimate Weapons in the game, so you better spend some time inside Tartarus getting enough money for all of that.
Farming the Reaper for its drops is one of the most reliable methods for easy money. Make sure to also keep farming other regular enemies on the way, as their drops are always useful for many other crafted items in the game.
