How to Get Galarica Twigs Fast in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: Indigo Disk

Why take it slow when you can bend time to your whim?

Who doesn’t love picking up random sticks? Here’s how to get all the Galarica Twigs you’ll need fast in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC.

How to Get Galarica Twigs Fast in The Indigo Disk

If you want to evolve your Galarian Slowpoke in The Indigo Disk, you’ll need several Galarica Twigs. And the only way to find these Galarica Twigs is by visiting a very small beach in the Blueberry Academy’s northern Costal Biome.

You can see the Costal Biome here, which I’ve circled in red. You’ll know you’re at the right location because of the absolute mob of Galarian Slowpokes occupying the beach. Simply pick up any golden sparkly items on the beach near the trees to find the Galarica Twigs.

Go too close to the water, and you’ll no longer find twigs. Instead, you’ll be met with Feathers, Inkay Ink, and a smattering of resources that don’t suit your purposes. But it seems that the items that spawn in the dry sand will all be Galarica Twigs.

Likewise, it seems that the amount of Galarica Twigs that spawn on this beach is capped at 10. At least, this is when it stopped spawning for me. However, Glarica Twigs will slowly respawn over time, and I was able to force more Galarica Twigs to spawn by changing the internal time of my Nintendo Switch to the next day.

If the spawns on the beach slow down before you reach 10, head to a new waypoint and come back. Or, alternatively, move the Switch’s time up an hour and check again.

How to Change Your Nintendo Switch’s Internal Clock

If you want to force respawns for Galarica Twigs in the Indigo Disk, you can change your Switch’s internal clock by accessing your Switch’s System Settings in the main menu, scrolling down to “System” on the left-side menu. Then select “Date and Time.” From here, you can change the date to whatever you please. However, you must ensure that your Switch is not synchronizing the clock via the internet.

What Does the Galarica Cuff and Wreath Do in The Indigo Disk?

Once you have enough Galarica Twigs, you can speak to the girl beside the vending machines in the Costal Plaza to have her weave you a Garica Cuff or a Galarica Wreath.

The Galarica Cuff will cost you eight Galarica Twigs and allow you to evolve your Galarian Slowpoke into an Galarian Slowbro.

The Galarica Wreath will cost you 15 Galarica Twigs and evolve your Galarian Slowpoke into a Galarian Slowking. Both are needed to complete your Blueberry Pokedex, so be sure to farm up at least 23 Galarica Twigs!

Should You Evolve Galarian Slowpoke Into Galarian Slowbro or Galarian Slowking in The Indigo Disk?

Frankly, you should evolve your Galarian Slowpoke into both Galarian Slowbro and Galarian Slowking in The Indigo Disk. Galarian Slowpoke are ripe for the picking on the beach that spawns Glarica Twigs, and there’s no shortage of Glarica Twigs with 10 spawning in a single day.

You’ll need both Galarian evolutions if you want to complete your Indigo Disk Pokedex, but if you’re adamant about sticking to one or the other Galarian Slowpoke evolution, let’s take a look at their stats and what they’re best suited for:

StatGalarian SlowbroGalarian Slowking
HP:9595
Attack:10065
Defense:9580
Sp. Atk:100110
Sp. Def:70110
Speed:3030

To be blunt, neither Galarian Slowpoke evolution is all that great as a Pokemon you might want on your team. They’re both quite slow (although that could be taken advantage of with the use of Trick Room) and neither have a particularly excellent stat spread. Galarian Slowbro is a little more of a “jack of all trades,” with nearly equal stats between HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Attack. Galarian Slowking is slightly better as it sacrifices some points in its Attack pool and redistributes them to where Galarian Slowbro is lacking. This makes Galarian Slowking a slightly stronger and sturdier Pokemon than Galarian Slowbro.

So if you’re trying to conserve Galarica Twigs in the Indigo Disk, or if you’d just like to collect Galarica Twigs only once, we recommend using them to get yourself a Galrian Slowking. Just keep in mind that it probably won’t be winning any tournaments.
