You can use multiple potions in Hogwarts Legacy to restore HP, reduce spell cooldowns or even go invisible. While most excel during combat, a few help in the regular Overworld too. The Felix Felicis potion is the most notable example, giving you a one-day luck boost by revealing chest locations. How to Get Felix Felicis Potions in Hogwarts Legacy
Before looking for ingredients to create a Felix Felicis potion, it’s important to note that it is a PlayStation 4 and 5 pre-order exclusive. If you pre-ordered Hogwarts Legacy’s Deluxe or Collector’s Editions for these two consoles, you received the recipe in your Room of Requirement’s potion crafting station. In other words, PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch players are out of luck in getting this liquid luck potion.
If you pre-ordered the game on PlayStation and have access to the potion recipe, the next step is unlocking the Room of Requirement. Early in the game, you’ll purchase a potion crafting station from Tomes and Scrolls, but you won’t get the room until later in the story. Once you access this room, you can use Conjuration spells to place the table, allowing you to create various potions, including Felix Felicis.
Felix Felicis Potion Ingredients
At your potion station, you’ll find the Felix Felicis Potion and its two ingredient requirements: Lacewing Flies and Fluxweed Stem. You can get Lacewing Flies in the Overworld from yellow-green bushes and grow Fluxweed in a large pot within your Room of Requirement. You can also buy them from J. Pippins Potions and The Magic Neep, respectively.

Once you get your hands on both items, select the Felix Felicis potion at your crafting station and wait one minute for it to finish brewing. From here, you can take the completed product, equip it through your combat items wheel and use it while exploring to reveal hidden chests.
