How to Get and Use Diluted Thermia in Warframe

It's like Thermia, but it's diluted.

While some resources in Warframe are easy to get, some are surprisingly useful while being exclusive to limited-time events. Here’s how to get and use Diluted Thermia in Warframe.

Where to Farm Diluted Thermia in Warframe

Diluted Thermia is acquired by completing the Thermia Fractures event in Warframe, which appears once every month or so. You’ll know the event is active if you see it listed when looking at the Navigation Console in your Orbiter. Once it’s active, you’ll want to make your way over to the Orb Vallis, located on the planet Venus.

Once on Venus, you’ll want to head to the Temple of Profit, noted by its massive statue of Nef Anyo. Once there, you should hear stomping nearby. This is the Exploiter Orb, which has Coolant Raknoid following it. You want to kill these Coolant Raknoid and pick up a Coolant Canister from their body. If you have other people with you, you’ll want them to also kill a Coolant Raknoid and pick up a Canister.

Once you and any members of your party have a Canister, you’ll want to search the Orb Vallis for large orange energy spires sticking out of the ground. These aren’t too hard to spot and are plentiful during the Thermia Fractures event.

Once you spot one, head down and place your Coolant Canister inside the spire. This will trigger a defense mission of sorts, requiring you to defend the Canister from endless hordes of Corpus. Once it’s complete, you should have a quarter of the Canister completed. If you have allies and they put their Canisters in alongside yours, you’ll receive an extra quarter of progress for each Canister. For example, if you and two teammates put in a Canister, it’ll be at three-quarters full once you finish that defense mission.

You’ll want to repeat this process, taking the Canister to different energy spires until it’s full. Once it is, you’ll get yourself some Diluted Thermia. From there, just repeat the whole process until you have as much Diluted Thermia as you want.

What is Diluted Thermia Used For?

Beyond completing the Thermia Fractures event, Diluted Thermia is used to summon the Exploiter Orb during its boss fight. We won’t be going into how to defeat it here since that’s a lengthy process, but you can start the fight by heading to the cave to the Northeast of Harindi Crater. If you plan to run this fight in a group (which is highly suggested), only the person who triggers the Exploiter Orb fight will use up a Diluted Thermia.
