How to Get All Auras in Fortnite Chapter 5

With the new user-interface update that hit Chapter 5, many players were quick to note the addition of ‘Auras’ in the Closet. But what are auras and how do you get them?

As of December 6, we have no confirmation on how to get Auras or what they are. However, there has been some intense speculation from leakers that Auras are a Fortnite Festival exclusive cosmetic.

During the Fortnite Festival event, players who have Auras equipped will allegedly gain an Aura when they’re on streaks or Overdrive.

These Auras will reputedly also have different rarity tiers, which include:

  • On Fire! – Common
  • Stellar Burst – Uncommon
  • Rift Rock – Uncommon
  • Pop Off – Uncommon
  • Bouncing Bars – Rare

These Auras would wreath the player’s cosmetic in elemental-esque energy, which would range from watery bubbles to blue flames. The only exception is Bouncing Bars, which is theorized to give players audio visualizer bars.

Of course, this is all speculation, and we won’t know for sure if this is the case until Fortnite Festival releases. Fortnite Festival will be released on December 9, 2023, in collaboration with Guitar Hero and Rock Band Developer Harmonix.

The first season of Fortnite Festival will be centered around The Weeknd. In this game mode, players will need to hit notes in time to a song while watching The Weeknd onscreen. Trailers featuring The Weeknd and the event also seem to hint at these Auras, as similar visuals can be seen in the background while The Weeknd sings and the band plays.

Players will also be able to perform in the band with their friends or jump up on stage to perform solo. Whatever it takes to get those Auras, right?
