How to Get Access to the WARDOGS Closed Beta
Try before launch!
WARDOGS, the tactical large-scale shooter, is launching next month on Steam in early access. It features tactical firefights, proximity voice chat, building mechanics, tons of destruction, and supports up to 100 players per map. WARDOGS is available to pre-order, and here’s how to access its upcoming Closed Beta.
WARDOGS Closed Beta Access
If you want guaranteed access to the WARDOGS Closed Beta, you need to pre-order the title on Steam. You don’t need to pre-order the Supporter Edition; the regular one is more than enough for Closed Beta access.
Alternatively, you can click the “Request Access” button on the Steam page under the “Join the WARDOGS Playtest” section for a chance to be selected for the closed beta, but it doesn’t guarantee access as the pre-order does.
The developers have also mentioned on Steam that if you don’t enjoy the closed beta, you can feel free to refund the pre-order.

The upcoming Closed Beta for WARDOGS will be available from August 21, 2026 to August 23, 2026.

WARDOGS Early Access Release Date
WARDOGS is launching into early access on Steam on September 10, 2026.
WARDOGS is shaping up to be a solid tactical shooter, and I can’t wait to see how it compares to other games in the genre. The team has emphasized that they’re not trying to be just another battle royale or extraction shooter, but want to reward players for communication and strategy moment to moment.
