How to Get a Sentry Gun in MW3 Zombies

Let the gun do the work for you.

The killstreaks rewards that have been mainstays in multiplayer have made their way into the Zombies mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Players can use a few of the killstreaks, such as the Sentry Gun, but it may not be as easy to get.

How to Find a Sentry Gun in MW3 Zombies

There are two methods of obtaining a Sentry Gun in the Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mode: getting it randomly in the environment or purchasing it from the Buy Station. The first method can occur, but the chances can be slim.

Players must complete contracts and search through caches earned by clearing out Infested or Mercenary Strongholds. While players can get a Sentry Gun or other killstreak tools through this, the possibility is too low to recommend.

The better method is to simply buy the Sentry Gun from the Buy Station in the orange or red threat zones. However, the orange zone is the least difficult of the two, so it is faster to get it from there.

A Sentry Gun costs 2,000 Essence to buy, which is relatively inexpensive compared to other items and gear. A player can purchase one after completing just one to two contracts.

However, it is available at the Buy Stations in the orange zone, not the outer, low-threat zone. That means players should attempt after gaining a weapon with a Pack-a-Punch upgrade and at least a two-plate armor vest.

It can raise the initial cost a little bit, but this is the best method to get a guaranteed Sentry Gun. Players can also stock up on another necessary item if they have the Essence.
