How to Get a 1-Star Fish in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar – Arata’s Request

There are a lot of confusing quests or mysteries in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. However, there’s nothing more confusing than Arata’s first request of getting a 1-star Grilled Fish.

You can fish all day and not find a single 1-star fish. So, here’s how to get one and finish Arata’s request in SoS.

How to Finish Arata’s Prepping for Some Heavy Lifting Quest in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

When you start progressing your friendship level with Arata, he’ll make a request called “Prepping for Some Heavy Lifting.” He’ll ask for a 1-star Eggs Over Rice and a 1-star Grilled Fish.

Eggs Over Rice is easy since you only need a 1.5-star Egg with any Cooked Rice. You can get a 1.5-star Egg by just tending to your chickens, petting them every day, and making them happy. Once you get a decent egg, you can buy the Cooked Rice in Cafe Madeleine or cook your own if you have any Rice available.

For the 1-star Grilled Fish, it is a bit more complicated because you can cook any type of fish to get a Grilled Fish. They just need to be of higher quality.

There are actually more steps to this. You’ll need to find the Happy Sprites’ home and let them teach you about increasing the quality of specific item types, such as fish and bugs.

Head to the Nature Sprites’ home in Zephyr Town (location in the above images). Each Nature Sprite specializes in a specific resource, so you have to find the one in charge of the fish.

To improve the quality of the fish, look for Finley by the waterfall close to your farm in Zephyr town. Talk to Finley and select “Share Fish.” Donate any type of fish to Finley until you reach level 4 with him. The fish quality should increase after every four levels with Finley.

You can literally fish next to Finley and just hand him all the fish until you reach level 4. Once you reach level 4, every fish caught will now be at 1-star. Cook the 1-star Grilled Fish and the 1-star Eggs Over Rice, then give them to Arata.

Make sure to share items with the other sprites, such as Honey for getting higher-quality Honey. It’ll earn you a lot of money in the future since Royal Honey is quite expensive.
