How to Fuse Oberon with Mazio in Persona 3 Reload (P3R)

The first fusion is always a breeze

Fusion requests have been present in the series for a long time, and Persona 3 Reload is no exception to the rule. The very first special fusion that Margaret asks of you is an Oberon that knows Mazio, which is easier than it seems.

How to Get Oberon with Mazio in Persona 3 Reload

Oberon learns Mazio naturally at Level 17 and he starts at Level 16 once he’s fused/obtained from Tartarus. So you only need to level it up once to complete the first Elizabeth request flawlessly. I had the Emperor Social Link at Level 2, so my Oberon went automatically to Level 17 when fused. Emperor starts automatically on 4/27, so you only need to attend its activities once if Level 1 doesn’t get you enough Exp.

As for the fusion materials, some simple early-game recipes to fuse for him are:

  • Valkyrie + Onmoraki
  • Valkyrie + Jack Frost
  • Valkyrie + Jack O’Lantern

In other words, Valkyrie plus everything. All of these Personas (Valkyrie included, of course) are easily obtained in the first block of Tartarus (Thebel), so you only need to grind it for a bit to have enough Personas to fill your stock. If you can’t fuse it for some reason, Oberon appears as a regular obtainable Persona in the Arqa Block (starting at Floor 17), so you only need to level it a bit.

Alternatively, you can use a Mazio card to teach Oberon the Skill directly. That probably won’t be necessary, but helps if you’re not interested in giving Odaichi your precious time. He can be a drag sometimes.

You get the Female Uniforms (W) outfit for Yukari for completing this request, as well as unlocking the next few Fusion requests in the game if you’re already far enough for that. This was merely the first fusion you’ll have to do for Elizabeth, so brace yourself for what’s to come.
