  1. Restart Fortnite.
  2. For consoles only: turn it off, unplug it from the power source, and leave it be for five minutes. Then try turning it on again and logging back into the game.
  3. For PlayStation/Xbox users: Remove your account from the console and re-add it. Keep in mind that some stored progress on your console might be deleted (always backup!).
PS users should hit the PS button on their controller and go to Settings. Within the Settings (recognizable as a gear icon), you will be able to find the login settings under the Users option (depending on whether you are on PS4 or PS5) and after you log out, log in again from the same menu by typing in your credentials.
Xbox users should hit the Xbox button on their controller, and from there go to Profile & System, Settings, Account, and Remove accounts. After removing the account, you will need to hit the Xbox button, Sign In, Add & Manage, and Add new. And that’s it – you just need to type in your credentials.
