Error 727e66ac is an old acquaintance of many NBA players throughout the years, and it’s once again appearing in NBA 2K24. It’s usually tied to bad networks or other connection-related issues, and here’s everything you need to know on how to fix it.

How to Fix Error 727e66ac in NBA 2K24

This error has persisted through many different versions of NBA games, and the solutions are usually the same. Here are some of the most common ones.

1 – Check Server Status

The official NBA 2k website has its own server status page, which should be the first place to look if you suddenly get this error. If servers are down, there’s probably nothing wrong from your side and you should simply wait until the game is back up. Checking other official accounts such as Twitter or the official Discord servers, can also get you a quicker status update than simply refreshing the page.

2 – Updating Your Game

Maybe a new update just dropped while you were finishing a match, and now the game’s acting all strange until you download that one. Close the game and check for possible updates in your platform just to make sure there’s nothing missing.

3 – Restart Your Connection

If there’s nothing wrong with the servers and your game is fully updated, maybe the problem is actually from your side. Unplug your router and plug it back on after a few seconds to restart your connection and try launching the game once again. Even if you were browsing through other stuff as usual, there’s still a slight chance for it to be a direct problem with your connection and the game’s own servers.

4 – Change Your DNS

Using a different DNS might be enough to solve any impending connection errors. Methods for changing your DNS vary on which platform you’re playing in (PC, Playstation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch), but it does help to get a stable connection if you’re lucky. Two popular options are Google’s DNS and OpenDNS.

Google:

  • Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
  • Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

OpenDNS:

  • Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
  • Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

If none of these options help, chances are that the servers are having an even bigger problem that might take a while to solve. Make sure to keep refreshing the Server Status page just to be sure. And when you finally get in, make sure to use all of those codes for extra rewards!
