During the Hierophant Arcana Social Link, you’ll be asked to find the persimmon tree, but where in the world is it? Here’s where to find the persimmon tree in Persona 3 Reload (P3R).

Many of the shops in Persona 3 Reload require you to jump through a few hoops before you can really unlock them. And this is certainly the case for Bookworms, the bookshop in Iwatodai Strip Mall on the first floor.
You’ll encounter an old couple when this shop opens for the first time. The old man behind the counter will ask if you’ve seen a persimmon tree in the school, and his wife will tell you not to worry about the ramblings of an old man. But finding that persimmon tree is essential if you want to do anything in this shop.
And it’s easy to do. Just head to school and go to the Corridor. You can access the Corridor manually on the school’s first floor by going to the far right, past the art room, and up. Head through the door, and you’ll find yourself in a short corridor. To the left will be an open alcove with a young tree. Interact with it, and you’ll find that it’s a persimmon tree. You’ll also get a Persimmon Leaf.
Take this leaf back to Bookworms and show it to the couple. Tell the Elderly Man you’re there to show him the leaf, not buy books. He’ll introduce himself as Bunkichi and his wife as Mitsuko.
This will unlock the first rank of the Hierophant Arcana – Elderly Couple. I guess Bookish Couple wouldn’t have worked?
Mitsuko will then tell you that Bookworms is open every day except Monday. So plan your Social Links accordingly.
