How to Evolve Piloswine in Pokemon Sword and Shield

So, you have a Piloswine and want to see what this bad boy can turn into. Well, the answer is, a Mamoswine! But let’s dial it back to basics first. To have obtained a Piloswine, you would probably have either had to evolve it out of a Swinub at Level 33, or found one of these dual Ice and Ground Type mammoths kicking around in the overworld when it was snowing.

You can also get a Mamoswine from finishing Max Raids in the Stony Wilderness, but if you’re wanting to evolve your existing Piloswine then we can definitely help you with that. You really just have one criterion that you need to fulfill: your Piloswine needs to know the move Ancient Power when it levels up. If the Piloswine that you own doesn’t currently have this move, it’s actually quite easy to get it. You just have to take your darling to a Move Reminder at any Pokemon Center that you’ve come across, and request that the NPC helps your Piloswine remember Ancient Power. Once this is done, level the Pokemon up as per normal via a battle (it doesn’t even have to use the move Ancient Power in combat) and when it dings, you’ll be hit with the evolution sequence for it to turn into a Mamoswine!

Now that you’ve got our guide on how to evolve Piloswine in Pokemon Sword and Shield, it shouldn’t be long until you get your very own Mamoswine. It’s definitely not one of the harder evolutions to get considering that it’s not super straightforward either or as easy as just leveling up. Best of luck with getting your hands on this apparently prehistoric Pokemon! Need a hand with anything else in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
