How to Get Candy Exploring Pokemon Go with Your BuddyÂ
Before going on for a walk with a Pokemon, you need to choose which Pokemon you want as a Buddy.Â
Follow the below steps to set up your Buddy ‘mon:
- Click on the Trainer Icon in the bottom-left corner
- Select Buddy
- Feed Berries to the Pokemon you want out to adventure by your side
Once you have chosen your Buddy Pokemon, you are set to go exploring the world and earn Candy automatically.Â
Pokemon can walk only a certain distance before it gets excited. There are four distances in total:
- 1km – Common Pokemon (Pikachu, Fletchling, Sewaddle, and others).Â
- 3km – Most Pokemon (Ponyta, Machop, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Medicham, and others)
- 5km – Rare Pokemon (Larvitar, Dratini, Eevee, Noibat, Goomy, and others)
- 20km – Mythical and Legendary Pokemon (Xerneas, Giratina, Dialga, Kyogre, and others).
Activities with your Pokemon will only increase your Buddy Level with it. There are four levels that it can earn:
- Good Buddy
- Great Buddy
- Ultra Buddy
- Best Buddy
Make sure to interact with your Buddy Pokemon every day and you will eventually reach the Best Buddy level. Aw!Â
