How to Delete your Pokemon GO Account
Before deleting your Pokemon GO account, make sure you have the game installed on your device. If you uninstalled it previously, you’d have to quickly get it back so you can access the in-game settings menu. Once you do, launch the game and take the following steps:
- Tap the Poke Ball at the bottom of your screen and select Settings in the top corner.
- Choose Advanced Settings.
- Scroll down until you find “Delete Account.” Tap this and pick Continue to go through with account deletion.
Be careful if you’re linked to Niantic Wayfarer, though! If you are, you’ll lose access to Wayfarer completely alongside your Pokemon GO account.
If the method above doesn’t work, you can contact the official Pokemon GO Help Center and create a ticket through its form. You’ll have to enter your username and email before choosing “Delete My Account” under Issue Category. From here, Niantic’s support staff can help you delete your account.
Regardless of how you go through with deleting your account, make sure you’re certain you want it gone. There is no way to undo this, and once it’s done, it’s truly done. Only delete your account if you know that you won’t want to return to it later.
Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS devices.
