How To Beat Roman Reynolds in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Start this fight off with any AOE attack that you may have, in my case, I used Ichiban’s Hero Swing to cause some significant damage to a number of the assailants that Roman has with him. Much like the fight with Yamai, you’ll want to ensure that you eliminate any of the spare members he brought with him to the fight to keep the damage focused directly on the boss themselves.

Now that Kiryu is on the team you’ll want to ensure that you’re using his skills to their full advantage. Make sure that you’re depending on Proximity Attacks or Back Attacks as often as possible, as he should be able to one-shot most of the smaller enemies on the field. If you can’t get close, switch to the Rush battle style (Left D-Pad), as you’ll be able to approach a character, but also get a second turn to hit them while they’re down or target another enemy to cause some secondary damage to them.

Tomizawa is going to be one of the heaviest hitters in this particular matchup, especially with his Battery Shock ability. Roman is going to take some rather heavy damage from this particular attack, and it keeps him far back to avoid being the main point of Agro in this battle. While he can take a few hits without getting knocked out, try to draw the line of fire away from him onto either Ichiban or Kiryu as they can take the hits a bit better than Tomi can. However, whenever it’s his turn, make sure that you’re bringing out the Battery Shock skill.

After getting Roman down to half health, you’ll have another QTE to participate in and three members of the team who can deliver an absolute smackdown to this corrupt cop. As mentioned above, Tomizawa is going to be the main damage dealer here, so keep him far enough back and keep nailing those Battery Shocks to watch Roman’s health drop down quickly. Try to keep Kiryu close, as his Proximity attacks are a great supplementary damage dealer in this particular situation.

At this point, it will just be an all-out assault on Roman as you approach the final stretch. There may be a few times when he’ll use an AOE attack to shoot all of the members of your team, but you should be able to take these hits without much worry. Just keep on the offensive and keep whittling down his health until you finally finish him off. Congrats, you’ve brought this corrupt cop to justice, and it’s time to push on through the story into the scariest part of the game so far.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on our Like a Dragon section below to learn more about the game, and find out if you can kick Romans’s butt on your Steam Deck instead of on your PC.
