How to Apply Infusions in Nightingale

Infusing your way to the top

There are various ways to get stronger in Nightingale, and giving your regular equipment some quick upgrades is one of them. You can easily do this by applying some Infusions, and here’s what you need to do to get to this point.

How to Get Infusions in Nightingale

Infusions can be obtained in the game in different ways, but the most common is by directly crafting them. You can do this in the Simple Enchanter’s Focus. Its recipe can be obtained after completing the first Site of Power in the first Abeyance Realm you can venture. You need to complete this tutorial quest to progress, so you likely won’t miss this dungeon.

This will be your first real challenge in the game, so come prepared with as many weapons and equipment as possible. Unfortunately, you can’t add any type of enchantment to your equipment just yet, but it shouldn’t be necessary for the game’s first boss.

After conquering the Site of Power, you can make the enchanting table, which uses the following materials:

  • x1 Lumber.
  • x2 Ingot.
  • x5 Glass.

You need to buy the Simple Saw Table and the Simple Smelter to finish your Enchanter’s Focus, which are two recipes available from the Essence Trader in Abeyance Realms. Remember also to buy the Simple Mortar Station, as it’s also used for making some of the Enchanting ingredients.

After you’re done with those, you can start crafting them from the Focus table, with various ingredients needed across different enchantments. Alternatively, you can occasionally find them in Fae Chests scattered around the map. However, this is up to your luck, so don’t rely on that.

How to Use Infusions in Nightingale

Infusions can be used directly from your inventory. Right-click them and select “Apply”, then select which equipment you want to apply said Infusion effect, which can go from giving you specific resistances, more health, a bigger weight limit and many more unique boons.

You can only apply Infusions to items with the same or higher grade as the Infusion itself. The lowest Infusions start on the Uncommon level (green background), so you can only apply them to Uncommon equipment or higher. Common items (with a white background) can only equip Charms, which are also crafted on the Enchanter’s Focus table but have a lesser effect.

With a few infusions, fighting your way through the different Realms should be an easier task. Just be careful not to injure your leg or you’ll have a bad time healing it.
