Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a fun open-world RPG with a lot to do, see, and explore. While you’re working your way through the game, you may pick up some loot that you want to sell.
Specifically, you may cave to temptation and steal a few things to pawn off for a little extra gold.
If you’re having a hard time with this, we have a quick guide that’ll get you up-to-speed on how to sell stolen goods in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
How to Sell Stolen Items in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning
It can be fun to steal items in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, but it’s less fun when it comes time to sell those stolen items for gold.
Most of the game’s merchants will outright refuse to buy stolen items from you, leaving you in a bit of a predicament.
You have all these stolen items, you need gold, but no one will buy them from you.
Well, almost no one.
If you need to sell stolen goods in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, there are two things you can do. First, get to know a group of NPCs called Fences who hang around near camps like Moon Camp and Sun Camp.
By speaking to Fences, you’ll be able to sell your stolen goods. Fences don’t care that you stole them, so feel free to rely on Fences whenever you need to pawn off the things you steal.
Second, make an effort to master your Mercantile Skill. As you level up and upgrade, you can choose what skills you want to upgrade based on the way you play the game.
Focusing your upgrades on your Mercantile Skill is a good option if you plan to routinely rely on selling stolen items to help you rack up a sizable stash of gold.
When you completely master the Mercantile Skill, you’ll be able to sell your stolen goods to any merchant in the game without hassle.
You’ll no longer be relegated to Fences when you want to sell off stolen items which is convenient, though you can still sell your stolen items to Fences if you prefer to do so.
There are other benefits to increasing your Mercantile Skill as well, including improved shop prices and the ability to receive more gold for the items you sell.
Again, you can sell stolen goods to Fences without having to max your Mercantile Skill so if the task seems daunting, you always have a way to profit off your thievery in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
