One of the new features in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey allows players to romance various NPCs that they encounter around the game world. Unfortunately, you won’t find long-lasting and meaningful relationships waiting for you in Odyssey. But, if you’re willing to take the time to get to know a few people, you can score yourself a nice time with some nice people and start a romance in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. To help you out along the way, we’ve put together this quick and easy article to help you start a relationship and learn how to romance NPCs in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
How to Romance People in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Ubisoft has definitely expanded the range of RPG elements in the Assassin’s Creed series over the past few entries and this time around players can look forward to scoring some alone time with a few of the characters and people that they come across in the game. Unlike games like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, you aren’t going to find long and lasting relationships here, though. Instead, you’ll find quick flings. But, if you’re interest in learning how to romance some of the people you meet, then we’ve got the information you need to do so.
The only way to uncover potential suitors in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is to complete side missions that you can come across by talking to people. This means taking time out of the main campaign to run around and explore the world. The more you do this, the better your chances of meeting someone who has a mission available for you.
When looking for people that you can romance, keep an eye out for a white heart next to dialogue options during conversation. When you see this, activate that option and then you’ll be given one of two options. The party you’re trying to romance will either inquire more about you or offer a side quest for you to complete.
If you’re given a side quest, simply undertake it and complete it. This shouldn’t take you too long to do. Once it is done, return to the character and talk to them again. If the character inquires more about you, you’ll then need to talk to them, choosing conversation options that you think they will like the best. Pay careful attention to what they say and how they respond, and then make your choices to continue.
That’s really all there is to romancing in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. As we said above, there aren’t any really major characters to worry about romancing here, so you don’t need to do this if you aren’t interested in exploring the world and learning more about it.
