How Long Fireworks Last in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The weekly fireworks festivals take place in Animal Crossing: New Horizons every Sunday night. This only lasts during the month of August, so there are four festival nights left. You could always time-travel of course, but if you’re playing on the straight and narrow, them’s the breaks. So with that said, here are the total number of dates:

  • August 2, 2020
  • August 9, 2020
  • August 16, 2020
  • August 23, 2020
  • August 30, 2020

Fireworks don’t start until 7:00 PM at your local time. Redd will hang out on the island near his stand all day, but he won’t open for business until the show starts. After that, you have the remainder of the day to enjoy the festivities. That means you have right up until midnight, at which point everyone has to pack it up and go home.

During the fireworks festivals, there are a few small, but adorable activities. You can slip Redd 500 Bells and get a raffle ticket, in order to try getting one of several unique items. If you don’t have 500 Bells (how do you not have 500 Bells in this game though), one of your villager pals might give you a gift too. You can also watch the fireworks show, which pops off in the nearby distance. If you chat with Isabelle, you can even toss some of your custom designs in the mix, and see them explode in firework form.
