If you recently planted some flowers to try and add some color to your island, you may have found that they’re quickly getting out of control. 1. Open your Nook Phone
  2. Select “Island Designer”
  3. Open the design palette
  4. Open the “Custom Design” section
  5. Navigate to the checkered (transparent) design
  6. Place it on the island blocks that you’d like to keep flower free

As you can see in the steps above, to keep your island as pristine and neatly designed as possible, simply place a transparent block on any space that you don’t want a flower growing on and you’ll be good to go! If you prefer a more natural way, you can build contaminants, like a fence, around your flowers that will keep them from spreading as well.
