Being able to completely customize your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is part of what makes the game fun for a lot of players! Whether it be buying new furniture for your home or planting flowers outside of your house, customization is key! With that being said, if you’ve planted flowers outside of your home recently, you may have noticed that with enough water, they can begin to grow uncontrollably. So, in this guide we are going to tell you how to keep flowers from spreading in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons – How to Keep Flowers from Spreading
If you’re trying to turn your rundown island into a 5-star location, then you know how important it is to keep your land from getting overrun with plants. If you recently planted some flowers to try and add some color to your island, you may have found that they’re quickly getting out of control. Thankfully, there is an easy way to keep flowers from spreading in New Horizons, and it only requires a few simple steps.
- Open your Nook Phone
- Select “Island Designer”
- Open the design palette
- Open the “Custom Design” section
- Navigate to the checkered (transparent) design
- Place it on the island blocks that you’d like to keep flower free
As you can see in the steps above, to keep your island as pristine and neatly designed as possible, simply place a transparent block on any space that you don’t want a flower growing on and you’ll be good to go! If you prefer a more natural way, you can build contaminants, like a fence, around your flowers that will keep them from spreading as well. However, the island design method will likely be the easiest of them all.
