How to Download The Witcher 3 for Free on PC

The Witcher 3 will be free to download from GOG until June 23 at 7 AM ET. Unfortunately, the deal is only available to those who already own a copy of the game on an Xbox One or PlayStation 4. To claim your free PC code, you’ll need to link your current XB1/PS4 copy with the GOG Galaxy 2.0 app. Once that’s done, you should receive a free code to download The Witcher 3 on PC.

Further, players who one the Game of the Year edition will receive a GOTY PC code, while those who own the Wild Hunt version will receive a code for Wild Hunt edition on PC. It’s also worth noting that due to compatibility issues, those who own a copy of The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch won’t be eligible for the deal. It’s also worth mentioning that if you own a copy or the game already, and have a friend you’d like to give the PC code to, you’ll be able to share the code with them since it’s not locked to your account. If you have any other questions about the deal, you can check out the GOG support page for some FAQs.
