If you’ve been keeping up with the latest happenings in the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you may know that a new feature has been added that allows players to swim and dive. If you’re planning to head to the ocean in the near future and dive for some sea creatures, then you’ll want to know how to get a wetsuit in Animal Crossing New Horizons!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wetsuit – How to Get
As with most things on Tom Nook’s island, an Animal Crossing: New Horizons wetsuit won’t be free and will need to be purchased from the Nook’s Cranny for 3,000 Bells. Further, it’s also worth noting that you won’t be able to swim or dive until you have purchased a wetsuit. So, now that you know how to get a wetsuit, you can head on over to the shop today and purchase it if you have enough Bells. If not, you’ll need to do a little bit or saving first.
With your wetsuit in hand, simply head towards the ocean and hop in! While you’re swimming around, you may notice that there are a few creatures underwater. To pick them up, simply dive down beneath the surface of the water. One new creature that you can dive for are scallops, and as you collect them you’ll be able to trade them to Pascal, a new character on the island, for some fun mermaid-themed DIY recipes.

In addition to the first New Horizons summer update, Nintendo is already teasing another update for August. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about that update right now, but as July comes to a close, we will likely get more information. There are also a handful of new bugs and fish that have begun appearing on the island in July, so there is definitely a lot of work to be done to keep your island nice!
If you need a break from swimming and bug hunting, you can always plant some flowers. After all, there are loads of different colors and varieties that players can choose from to bring some color to their island. However, if you’re planning to do that, you may want to look into this clever trick that will keep flowers from spreading on your island to unwanted areas. If you’re never planted flowers before, with enough rain and sunshine, things can easily get out of control.
