How to Get The Rare Fungus For Lili in Psychonauts 2

First off, in order to grab this quest, you’ll need to head right once you leave the Motherlobe. Follow the path right and you’ll find Lili and her secret garden. After grabbing the quest head to the Questionable Area on the other side of the Quarry.

Once you enter The Questionable Area, go all the way to the far left side until you find the sign for the “Funicular”. you’ll need to collect three gears to get the machines up and running again, luckily they are all in the surrounding area so just walk around and grab them with telekinesis. Bring them back to the machine and slot them in the get the vehicles up and running.

Ride it to the top of the mountain and go right. From here follow the small obstacle course until you get to the large waterfall. In order to get the fungus, you’ll need to have the Time Bubble ability. If you don’t have it yet, you’ll need to progress more in the story before being able to continue with this quest.

If you do have the Time Bubble ability, you’ll need to use it on the logs passing up the waterfall. Ride the log when it is slowed and as it rises up the water will split revealing a cavern. Inside the cavern is a large glowing purple mushroom. Go up to it and interact to get the sample needed for Lili.

Now all you have to do is go back to Lily to finish the quest.

That’s everything you need to know on how to complete the quest for a rare fungus in Psychonauts 2. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out Prima Games and our official Twitter and Facebook pages.
